Roger King represents employers in employment relations matters, concentrating on matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act, state and federal equal employment statutes, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. In addition, Roger's practice consists of representing employers in collective bargaining negotiations, grievance and arbitration matters, and litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts regarding a broad spectrum of labor-related matters.

Roger's experience also includes representing clients regarding issues under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program matters, wrongful discharge claims, and development and review of employee policies and procedures.

Roger is a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a member of the following bar associations, including the labor relations section of each: American, District of Columbia, Ohio State (Labor and Employment Council), and Columbus and a member of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Labor Advisory Committee, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the American Health Lawyers Association, and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA).

In 2003 Roger was appointed to Miami University's Richard T. Farmer School of Business Advisory Council. He has served as a board member of the American Health Lawyers Association, a member of the National Employment Relations Committee of SHRM, and the Advocacy Committee of ASHHRA. Roger has testified, on a number of occasions, before U.S. Congressional committees, is frequently quoted on labor issues in publications, and has been an active speaker and author for various groups throughout the U.S.

Nancy J. Schiffer was sworn in as a Member of the National Labor Relations Board on August 2, 2013, following her nomination by President Obama, and confirmation by the Senate on July 30, 2013, for a term that expires on December 16, 2014.

During Ms. Schiffer’s thirty-seven year legal career, she has been involved in all aspects of NLRA practice and procedure, starting with her tenure as a Field Attorney at the Detroit Regional Office, Region 7, of the NLRB in Detroit. Ms. Schiffer left the NLRB’s Detroit Regional Office to work in private practice with a law firm in Detroit and then as an Associate General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel with the United Auto Workers. Most recently, she was an Associate General Counsel with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) in Washington, D.C., a position from which she retired in 2012.

Ms. Schiffer received her Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, and Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University. She is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a past Program Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Practice and Procedure under the NLRA.

Harry I. Johnson, III was a partner with law firm Arent Fox LLP, a position he held since 2010. Previously, Mr. Johnson worked at the Jones Day law firm as a partner from 2006 to 2010 and as an associate from 1994 to 2005. In 2011 and 2013, he was recognized by The Daily Journal as one of the “Top Labor & Employment Attorneys in California”. Mr. Johnson received a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, an M.A.L.D. from Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Board Member Johnson was sworn in on August 12, 2013 for a term that expires on August 27, 2015.

Previously, Ellen worled 22 years at University of Colorado Hospital as Director of Human Resources.  Prior experience includes owning her own business and working for municipal government in Ohio.  During her career,  Ellen has provided strategic and operational leadership for compensation and benefits, learning & development, recruitment, employee relations, and wellness.  She has a masters’ degree in Public Administration from The Ohio State University. Kathleen joined Cornell University’s Employment and Disability Institute (EDI) in April 2010, in a dual role as Project Coordinator of the Research and Technical Assistance Center on Vocational Rehabilitation Program Management and Business Outreach Specialist for the National Technical Assistance, Policy, and Research Center for Employers on the Employment of People with Disabilities.

Kathleen's prior experience includes more than fifteen years in job placement and business outreach. She has extensive work experience in providing technical assistance to national and regional employers in the areas of accommodations, accessibility and adaptive technology, recruitment, and retention. Kathleen has numerous years of executive management experience including federal employment grants funded through the Department of Labor, Rehabilitation Services Administration, and the Social Security Administration. Other areas of experience include human resources, grant proposal writing, research, and program evaluation.

Her primary interests center on organizational culture and strategic human resources management of diversified workplaces that are inclusive of people with disabilities and veterans with disabilities. She is active in working with veterans in her community through the American Legion Auxiliary Post 422.
