Roger King represents employers in employment relations matters, concentrating on matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act, state and federal equal employment statutes, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. In addition, Roger's practice consists of representing employers in collective bargaining negotiations, grievance and arbitration matters, and litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts regarding a broad spectrum of labor-related matters.

Roger's experience also includes representing clients regarding issues under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program matters, wrongful discharge claims, and development and review of employee policies and procedures.

Roger is a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a member of the following bar associations, including the labor relations section of each: American, District of Columbia, Ohio State (Labor and Employment Council), and Columbus and a member of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Labor Advisory Committee, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the American Health Lawyers Association, and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA).

In 2003 Roger was appointed to Miami University's Richard T. Farmer School of Business Advisory Council. He has served as a board member of the American Health Lawyers Association, a member of the National Employment Relations Committee of SHRM, and the Advocacy Committee of ASHHRA. Roger has testified, on a number of occasions, before U.S. Congressional committees, is frequently quoted on labor issues in publications, and has been an active speaker and author for various groups throughout the U.S.

Harry I. Johnson, III was a partner with law firm Arent Fox LLP, a position he held since 2010. Previously, Mr. Johnson worked at the Jones Day law firm as a partner from 2006 to 2010 and as an associate from 1994 to 2005. In 2011 and 2013, he was recognized by The Daily Journal as one of the “Top Labor & Employment Attorneys in California”. Mr. Johnson received a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, an M.A.L.D. from Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Board Member Johnson was sworn in on August 12, 2013 for a term that expires on August 27, 2015.

Penny Wofford is a South Carolina Supreme Court Certified Specialist in Employment and Labor Law. She concentrates her practice in the area of employment litigation and employee benefits. She advises and defends employers, employer sponsored plans, and plan fiduciaries against all types of claims under ERISA and employment discrimination laws. Penny not only provides proactive counseling and legal advice to employers and management regarding human resources issues but also assists employers with the design, drafting, and administration of welfare benefit plans. Penny is a frequent speaker on employee benefits and employee leave topics and regularly provides company and supervisor training on employment discrimination, documentation and confidentiality.

Carolyn Henzel is the Director of HR Systems and Processes for Denver Public Schools.  With over 20 years of experience in Information Technology, Carolyn’s background is primarily in telecommunications with roles in business systems architecture, program management, product management, training and development, and operations.  Driven by a passion for K-12 education reform, she moved to the public sector in 2008.  Carolyn has both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado, and holds the Project Management Professional and Certified ScrumMaster credentials.

Judy Young is Associate Director at the Executive Education of Cornell University’s ILR School. She is responsible for the instructional design and management of public workshops and custom programs for HR and D&I practitioners seeking to advance their skills and leverage equity and inclusion for organizational effectiveness.  Judy’s focus is on developing and sharing strategies for effectively balancing legal obligations with promising practices that promote respectful and inclusive work environments for all.  Judy’s special interest and expertise include the inclusion of workers with disabilities and veterans and she has assisted many organizations in their efforts to increase the integration of these groups in the workplace. Judy  is a frequent presenter at major diversity, employment, and veteran-focused conferences and she is a member of the speaker’s bureau of the Society of Human Resource Management.   

Linda Robertson is a Certified Financial Planner™ with Financial Finesse, the leading provider of unbiased financial education for employers nationwide. With over 20 years of experience, Linda has facilitated thousands of financial education workshops to employees on a variety of topics ranging from basic money management and retirement planning to advanced estate planning, in addition to providing financial coaching to numerous employees one on one over the phone and in person at their worksites. Linda writes a nationally syndicated weekly blog on workplace financial education. As a full-time educator, Linda has acquired a good feel for what does and doesn't work in the way of making a lasting impact on employees with financial education.

Michael Walters is the CHRO for Samsung Semiconductor, a multi-billion dollar provider of leading edge memory solutions and chip manufacturer that powers the critical industries such as smartphones, electric vehicles, and hyperscale datacenters.  He leads all talent related functions for this business and oversees their community relations initiatives.  Michael has served in HR leadership roles in a wide variety of industries to include United Health Group, Microsoft, Roper Technologies, and Nielsen Entertainment

Michael has taught HR management at the University of Washington for twelve years and is a frequent speaker at SHRM events across the country. He holds an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Loyola Marymount University and a bachelor's in psychology from University of California, Los Angeles.
