Staff from the SHRM Foundation and SHRM’s Government Affairs will share details and resources to help your members prepare to take action in your community in the next year. First, the SHRM Foundation is launching a new strategy in 2017 to empowered HR professionals to build inclusive organizations where all employees thrive and organizations achieve success. Staff will share more about the strategy, highlight how your chapter/council and members can get involved, and introduce new resources to support local efforts. Next, SHRM’s Government Affairs team will fill you in on how to prepare for a new presidential administration and Congress in 2017, what could lie ahead in the complex world of workplace legislation, regulations and court decisions, and how you can engage as an advocate for the profession and influence the HR public-policy agenda in the year ahead.
