Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to transform the talent assessment landscape, yet, should perhaps come with a warning label. Like all powerful tools, AI offers great promise that must be used wisely. Following an overview of AI’s current and potential applications in talent assessment, this session will arm participants with the information needed to critically evaluate such applications—with a specific focus on the legal and ethical standards that AI-based solutions must meet to be considered reliable, valid and consistent with exemplary professional practice.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify AI fundamentals, including how AI-based approaches work and where they can help address a variety of talent assessment challenges.
- Understand and apply a comprehensive set of criteria for evaluating AI-based approaches to talent assessment that includes all relevant legal, professional, and ethical standards.
- Identify concrete steps that an organization can take to implement AI-based solutions within its talent assessment processes, including the technological, structural, and communication-related factors that must be addressed during the implementation process.
