Attendees will learn proven methods for engaging in vulnerable work conversations that build trust and stronger communication.

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented scenarios never seen before in the business world. As talent development professionals, we need to have the flexibility and the fortitude to change in an instant, and part of the change we are facing is the emotional toll working remotely is having on our people. If we don't get in front of this issue, we could face massive turnover from our best people because they are lacking connection and a place to be vulnerable. If you think vulnerability is not for the workplace, this presentation is not for you. Garrett Mintz leverages data to showcase how being vulnerable and taking intentional time to make a connection not only makes employees feel better but also positively impacts the bottom line.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover your work orientation, how it compares to your direct reports’ and strategies on how to prescribe the best leadership style based on that information.
  • Discover the correlation between work orientation and its impact on work relationships and mentoring relationships.
  • Participate in an interactive exercise explaining how to best motivate your team to accomplish business goals.
