A commitment to planning is critical to a chapter or state council’s success. With a strategic plan in place, you can anticipate and address future challenges, issues, and threats head on. By being proactive, you will save your organization time, money, and other resources. Most importantly, strategic planning orients your SHRM affiliate toward positive outcomes and a clear vision for the future and provides a common purpose. Especially during these uncertain times, it could mean the difference between major failure or major success. In this session, we will review the business case for creating and implementing a strategic plan. You will hear from volunteer leaders who will share their real-life experiences building, implementing and evaluating their strategic plans.
