Research shows that actively denying these racial attitudes exist only exacerbate them, while when we work to move our unconscious racial bias into our consciousness we can actually lessen our racial prejudice. This workshop will offer participants learning around implicit racial bias as well as explore ways to interrupt it in order to cultivate a more inclusive workplace culture.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn the difference between explicit and implicit racial bias, as well as unpack the ways in which implicit bias operates through our subconscious.
- Begin to unpack you own implicit racial bias and uncover how this impacts you professionally and personally.
- Eplore possible ways to interrupt you implicit racial bias as well as the benefits to the workplace culture when intentional efforts take place.
