Home > The Medici Effect™: Unleashing Your Intersectional Leadership

2015 Emerging LEAD(HR) Conference

This immersive program is focused on developing intersectional leadership skills that can transform how you lead, collaborate, solve problems, and execute with agility. Based on The Medici Group’s concept of Intersectional Thinking, this interactive and action-packed workshop will demonstrate the power of diversity to drive innovation, the value of embracing the unexpected to stand apart, and why action beats analysis. You will work in teams through a series of interactive exercises to develop, expand and refine ideas; evaluate and select ideas; and develop practical action plans. Through this process, you will learn how to assess your organization’s resources, use diverse and random concepts to generate creative ideas, incorporate rapid insights from others to improve ideas, and understand how to execute past failure. This workshop will show you how to:

  • Apply intersectional leadership skills and tools immediately in your jobs.
  • Demonstrate agility in your thinking which will help you navigate the unpredictability that can occur in your business environments.
  • Explore new methods to bring ideas and concepts from outside your industries or HR discipline to inspire innovation in your work.
  • Challenge assumptions about your roles, your business, or practices that can inhibit fresh thinking and boldness.
  • Leverage existing resources in your organization as a strategic advantage.
  • Organize very short but effective, informal meetings to get a diverse perspective into your projects.
