Home > Ally or Adversary? The Three Secrets to Cultivating Successful Professional Relationships

2016 Leadership Development Forum
This session will provide the tools, language and framework necessary for developing stakeholder relationships.
PowerPoints/Handouts Available

Repeated Wednesday at 12:45 p.m.

As Harvard professor John Kotter stated, “Difficult-to-manage relationships sabotage more business than anything else.” You cannot be successful in business, or in life, unless you are successful in cultivating winning relationships. The corporate world is likely the biggest “team sport” we will participate in; however, few of us have a mindset that values mutual success over individual success. As a result, especially in turbulent times, when emotions are raised, opinions differ and stakes are high, those who have not spent the time to cultivate winning relationships may find results deteriorate just when outstanding team performance is required. This session will show you:

  • The three secrets to cultivating successful professional relationships.
  • How to apply the Relationship Ecosystem to diagnose the health and quality of your professional relationships.
  • How to determine the next steps to develop your ally relationships.
