Moving the Race Conversation Forward

Race continues to be at the forefront of the American consciousness. From Hollywood to Silicon Valley, to individuals are engaging in dialogue about racial disparities and the changing face the U.S. In just a little over 25 years, ethnic minorities are on track to gain majority status. In fact, five states or equivalents are already majority-minority with 85% of the total U.S. population growth being multicultural. Moreover, if you are 5 years old or younger and white, you have become the new minority. Are we making progress or moving backwards on race relations? What do we need to do to mend the divide? This session will explore:

  • The changing face of the U.S. and how it will affect your workforce.
  • The U.S. history of institutional racism and the systems it continues to impact.
  • The spoken and unspoken rules to discussing racial differences openly, honestly and respectfully.
  • The language of inclusion and its importance in improving race relations.
  • How to prepare your company leaders, managers and employees for the demographic shifts in management and leadership.
