Digital media has transformed communication across cultures. Cross-cultural communication was already a top challenge for both leaders and employees working with global diversity, and the rise of digital media has only intensified the challenges. A staggering number of messages are spread instantly, often creating unintended consequences with speed. Effective cross-cultural communication requires cultural intelligence. Messages crafted with cultural sensitivity can build bridges and strengthen relationships for a multicultural workforce. This session will help you understand key cultural elements of digital workforce communication and learn how to optimize tools for effective cross-cultural communication. This will help you gain trust and build partnerships across cultures through cultural competence. In this session, you will:

  • Understand digital workforce trends and their impact on intercultural HR communication.
  • Recognize common sources of cross-cultural misunderstanding and miscommunication in massive, instant and constant communications.
