2017 SHRM Leadership Development Forum
You will learn how to effectively lead and influence change in your teams, departments and organization.
PowerPoints/Handouts Available

Repeated from Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.

Despite all the emphasis on effective change, statistics indicate that organizations are no more successful today at making change work than they were 20 years ago. That is because change is overmanaged and underled. This session will provide practical tools to help you engage followers, create buy-in, overcome resistance and make change a strategic advantage in these transformational times. This session will help you:

  • Learn the four reasons why individuals and organizations have difficulty adapting to change and what you can do to overcome them.
  • Adopt seven strategies that build buy-in, engagement and support for change.
  • Learn techniques to overcome resistance to change.
  • Learn how to anchor change in the culture of your organization.
