A spate of recent news stories highlights a troubling fact pattern in workplaces: an employee alleges harassment and/or discrimination and the alleged culprit is a high-level company executive. A number of challenging issues arise when the alleged perpetrator is a person in a position of power at the organization. Who should investigate the claim? Was anyone else aware of this conduct?
