Home > DIVERSITY LEADERS EXCHANGE | Implementing a Disability Hiring Program: The Cintas Case Study

2018 Diversity & Inclusion Conference & Exposition
You will learn how Cintas connected with the disability community to hire talented people with disabilities across the nation.
PowerPoints/Handouts Available

Cintas is in its fourth year implementing an inclusion program to attract, hire and retain qualified people with disabilities for positions throughout its network of 550 facilities nationwide. Building upon its 25-plus years of success hiring veterans, Cintas sought to hire people with disabilities ... and is experiencing success. In this session, you will learn about Cintas’ national disability-inclusion program, including the steps it took to ensure buy-in at every level, from corporate executives to local facility management. Building upon this buy-in, the culture of Cintas has supported sustainability for the program and developed many partnerships with various disability-support agencies throughout the nation—all creating a pipeline of qualified talent for Cintas. In this session, you will learn:

  • The steps to implement a disability-inclusion program.
  • The importance of connecting to the disability community for talent.
  • How to embed disability inclusion into your organizational culture.
  • How to identify champions at every level (executive through front line).
