Home > Diversity Fatigue No More! How to Make D&I Engaging and Effective

2018 Diversity & Inclusion Conference & Exposition
Learn strategies and concrete tools for diversity and inclusion initiatives that are proven to be effective and engaging for employees.
PowerPoints/Handouts Available

A large percentage of employees these days are tired of diversity initiatives, and for good reason. Diversity and inclusion training is often boring and patronizing, designed more to check boxes than to make a real difference. In this session, cultural anthropologist Dr. Michael Baran will provide strategies and tools for getting those employees engaged and invested in D&I initiatives while simultaneously fostering a workplace culture that is inclusive and productive. You will:

  • Understand why diversity and inclusion initiatives often fall short.
  • Gain a better framework for understanding how bias threatens workplace inclusion and productivity.
  • Visualize how diversity and inclusion initiatives can succeed by engaging employees and leadership and using proven solutions.
  • Learn concrete strategies to create a more inclusive workplace culture.
