Hiring and retaining talent in a thin labor market is difficult enough. With 33 states (and counting) legalizing marijuana in one form or another, employers find themselves having to update their hiring policies and practices, as well as making some difficult choices as to drug testing. With CBD (cannabidiol) becoming more popular, many employers are also questioning if CBD use will show up in drug tests and whether CBD should be addressed in drug and alcohol policies. This session reviews the legal issues associated with drug and alcohol policies and testing procedures as well as suggesting some best practices in these hazy times.
