Home > Senior Leaders Reimagined: Embracing Part-Time Roles in the New Era

2025 Talent Conference & Expo

As organizations reimagine leadership roles for late-career professionals, there’s a unique opportunity to blend internal talent with best-in-class external expertise. Senior leaders nearing retirement can transition into part-time, project-focused roles that offer flexibility while driving business outcomes. This strategy not only leverages existing institutional knowledge but also attracts external senior talent seeking a two-to-three-year transition window before retirement. By balancing internal growth with strategic external hires, companies can benefit from deep experience, knowledge transfer, and high-impact leadership. This program will provide tools and insights on how to implement this strategy effectively.

Learning Outcome 1: Flexible Leadership Models: Explore models for part-time leadership roles that benefit both the organization and transitioning executives

Learning Outcome 2: Knowledge Transfer & Mentorship: Understand how late-career leaders can serve as mentors and transfer valuable institutional knowledge.

Learning Outcome 3: Retaining Talent in Transition: Discover strategies for keeping top senior talent engaged.
