Home > Lead with Cultural Intelligence and Humility: Connecting, Learning, and Growing for Bottom-Line Impact

2025 Talent Conference & Expo

This one-hour session is an introduction to Cultural Intelligence (CQ). It is designed to work hand in hand with new employee orientation and leadership development for every member of your organization. In today’s world, everybody needs Cultural Intelligence. Diversity engagement occurs throughout our day as we interact with people of different genders, generations, socio-economic statuses, faiths, races and ethnicities. In the workplace especially, cultural gaps in values, beliefs and behaviors contribute to conflict, miscommunication, and often, employee turnover. We believe that leaders, managers and supervisors are more successful when they are culturally intelligent. CQ results in heightened awareness of cultural barriers and clashes, and aids in creating, retaining and growing a diverse and effective workforce.

Learning Outcome 1: Connect authentically with colleagues while sharing challenges and experiences of cross cultural communication.

Learning Outcome 2: Learn diversity, equity, and inclusion terminology and strategies to inspire confidence in creating collaborative partnerships.

Learning Outcome 3: Discover the Cultural Humility mindset and basics of the Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Model. Cultural Humility fosters respect and learning about diverse cultures, while CQ measures your ability to work effectively in culturally diverse settings.
