Project Management for Human Resources (PM4HR) offers a practical and proven approach to project management for Human Resources professionals aligned with industry standards. PM4HR provides a simple, flexible and repeatable approach to project management. You will learn about project management basics including definitions, roles and responsibilities as well as project management success factors and resources to assist you on your project management journey. You will also participate in hands-on exercises with the toolkit and take away electronic templates including the project charter, project status report, schedule, action register, project closeout and lessons learned.

* Advanced registration and additional program fees are required for the pre-conference workshops.

Lieutenant-Commander Dave King enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1985 as a Naval Operations Officer. Following 14 years at sea, he jumped ship to the Human Resources field and was posted to National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa as the Career Manager for 800 sailors. Furthering his HR experience, he entered the recruitment stream and held the positions of Regional Director of Recruiting Operations for Atlantic Canada and strategic recruiting advisor to the Director General Recruiting and Military Careers in Ottawa. Dave is currently employed within the Directorate of Maritime Personnel working on future fleet personnel policy and establishment and early career retention strategies.

Kathy Mosgrove is a certified Project Management Professional and certified Senior Professional in Human Resources. She has led numerous HR projects across North America and around the world in both the private and public sectors. An active volunteer, Kathy established the Human Resources Specific Interest Group with the Project Management Institute in 2003 and served as president for five years. Kathy has conducted workshops, written articles and shared resources on the Internet to bring practical project management to HR with PM4HRâ„¢. And this includes recently implementing a practical project management solution across multiple departments in the Government of Canada.
