SHRM 2013 Annual Conference
Workplace Application: This session will outline the risks presented by your employees' use of social media and help you design a strategy to limit liability.
PowerPoints/Handouts Available

This session provides entertaining and informative insights concerning the impact of social media on both labor and employment law issues (including harassment, protected concerted activity under the NLRA, retaliation, dissemination of private information, discrimination and more). The presenters will provide an overview of the most recent developments involving social networking issues in the workplace and will discuss the NLRB's "new" definition of "protected, concerted activity" and how the Board is challenging disciplining employees who made inappropriate comments via social media outlets.
