SHRM 2013 Annual Conference
Workplace Application: Learn how to develop and implement military-ready strategies from C-Suite buy-in, outreach and job design, to performance management and engagement.
PowerPoints/Handouts Available

Drawing on extensive research, this fast-paced session addresses how to identify program and policy elements for military hiring that you need to consider: branding, communications, job design, sourcing, flexibility strategies, benefits, interviewing, on-boarding and assimilation, engagement and retention, performance management, development, training and succession planning, internal and external community engagement. You will learn how to define plan goals and measure and report the success of each strategy component. Leave this session with an understanding of the unique issues and special considerations for military-connected talent (former service members, Guard and Reservists, their spouses and family care givers) and discover similarities to other workplace talent issues and concerns that serve to easily bridge the solution process.
