Wilson will review the current statistics of incidences of workplace violence, topologies of workplace violence, risk instruments and consequences of violence at work. She will discuss the difference in clinical versus forensic evaluations and why choosing the right expert is critical to a thorough and objective Fitness for Duty/Risk Assessment evaluation. The need for objective psychological testing and the importance of using the MMPI-2 in Fitness for Duty Exams will also be examined.

After receiving her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Dr. Kelly Wilson completed a postdoctoral forensic fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Law and Psychiatry Service.  She was employed as a Federal forensic examiner, and was then recruited to Minnesota State Operated Forensic Services as the Lead Forensic Psychologist and Director of Forensic Psychology Training.  She has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota’s Department of Psychiatry and the William Mitchell College of Law.  

Dr. Wilson is an expert educator on violence risk assessment and psychopathy and has provided expert testimony in numerous criminal and civil trials, including murder cases and commitments of sexually dangerous predators.  

Dr. Wilson founded the Minneapolis Center for Forensic Psychology and is currently serving as the President and Director of Forensic Services for PsyBar LLC.
