Home > MEGA SESSION: No Joke: Comedy Training as a Culture Change Catalyst

SHRM 2013 Annual Conference
Workplace Application: This session will allow you to experience firsthand the power of stand-up comedy training so you can build a happier, healthier and more productive workplace.
PowerPoints/Handouts Available

Did you know that happy employees dedicate 80% of their efforts to work related tasks – twice as much as their miserable peers? In today’s economy, organizational malaise is at an all-time high with employees turning into cynics resulting in a lack of organizational cohesiveness and decreased productivity. Tried and true morale and team building programs simply don’t work anymore. Yet one innovative solution is injecting excitement to create a positive, sustainable solution … comedy training. In this session, you will see how laughter, the universal language, is a powerful catalyst to breaking down silos and improving presentation skills – all the while bridging cultural and generational gaps leading to happy and productive employees. Additionally, leaders who engage in using comedy are seen as more human, vulnerable, trustworthy and credible ultimately leading to a powerful point of differentiation for organizations who embrace what comedians have known for ages … laughter is the best medicine.
