PowerPoints/Handouts Available

Repeated from Tuesday at 10:45 a.m.

Recent research has shown that there is a large and disturbing gap between what researchers have found relative to the effectiveness of different hiring assessment approaches, and what HR practitioners know and believe on this topic. This session will reveal prevailing research findings (and debunk some common myths) on the effectiveness of various assessment strategies, arming you with critical knowledge to systematically select top-performing employees and ensure maximum ROI on your assessment practices. During this session we will:

  • Discover what hiring assessment approaches have the highest predictive validity.
  • Discuss what measures and methods will yield the highest return-on-investment for your organization.
  • Learn what criteria to consider when selecting an assessment instrument.
  • Review steps for creating an evidence-based selection process that is tied to workplace metrics.
