This session will walk through both some of the quirky federal and California issues you face when hiring employees in California and offer some practical pointers on how to minimize risk. This session will cover California-specific legislation you need to be cognizant of in order to avoid litigation including:

  • FEHA discrimination guidelines for hiring.
  • The questions that can and cannot be asked of a candidate during the hiring process.
  • Laws involving background checks, negligent hiring as well as physical exams.
