Alexander Alonso, PhD, SHRM-SCP is the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM's) Chief Data & Insights Officer leading operations for SHRM's Certified Professional and Senior Certified Professional certifications, research functions, and the SHRM Knowledge Advisor service. He is responsible for all research activities, including the development of the SHRM Competency Model and SHRM credentials.

During his career, he has worked with numerous subject matter experts worldwide with the aim of identifying performance standards, developing competency models, designing organizational assessments, and conducting job analyses. He was also responsible for working on contract task orders involving the development of measurement tools for content areas such as job knowledge (like teacher knowledge of instructional processes) and organizational climates (like organizational climate forecasting in military health care).

Dr. Alonso received his doctorate in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Florida International University in 2003. His works have been recognized for their contribution to real-world issues. They include being recognized by the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology (Division 14 of the APA; SIOP) with the 2007 M. Scott Myers Award for Applied Research in the Workplace for the development of the federal standard for medical team training, TeamSTEPPS; being awarded a 2009 Presidential Citation for Innovative Practice by the American Psychological Association for supporting the development of competency model for team triage in emergency medicine; and receiving the 2013 SIOP Distinguished Early Career Contributions for Practice Award.

Throughout his career, he has published works in peer-reviewed journals such as Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice, Journal of Applied Psychology, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, People and Strategy, Personality and Individual Differences, Quality and Safety in Health Care, and Human Resources Management Review. He has also authored several chapters on community-based change initiatives in workforce readiness, as well as co-authoring Defining HR Success: A Guide to the SHRM Competency Model in Practice.

Dr. Alonso also served as a columnist analyzing major trends in the workforce for The Industrial Psychologist and HR Magazine. In addition, he has served on several professional society boards including the SIOP and the Personnel Testing Council of Metropolitan Washington.

Brian K. Dickson is the Senior Vice President, Professional Development and Strategic Partnerships, for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest professional association devoted to human resource management. 

Mr. Dickson, who serves on SHRM's Leadership Team, has executive oversight of SHRM conferences, training and education, and certification preparation programs. He also leads SHRM's efforts to build strong business relationships with corporations, government agencies, and other organizations. In addition, Mr. Dickson develops SHRM's partnership arrangements to create new sales and delivery channels for SHRM programs and services, and leads the Society's business development efforts in the Americas and Europe. 

Prior to joining SHRM, Mr. Dickson was a Partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers Consulting, and an Account Executive at IBM. He also served in executive roles at Federal Management Partners and Celerant Consulting.

Prior to entering the consulting field, Brian served as a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. Department of State, where he focused on Latin America and trade issues. He also worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a non-profit foreign policy research center.

Dickson holds an MS from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and a BS from Wabash College of Indiana.

Alexis Terry is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership. Her main responsibility is to develop and facilitate a strategic, organization-wide initiative to ensure that ASAE & The Center represents a diverse and inclusive organizational model for the association community and to support the membership in their efforts to embed such practices into their own organizations. She also supports the work of ASAE & The Center’s diversity committee, a body of ASAE & The Center members who guide the organization’s diversity and inclusion initiative, and work with DELP (Diversity Executive Leadership Program) scholars to assist in their continued professional development and involvement in the organization. 

Prior to joining ASAE & The Center, Alexis held a variety of roles at BoardSource, a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing the public good by building exceptional nonprofit boards and inspiring board service, based in Washington, DC. Alexis is the author of BoardSource’s 2008 Next Generation and Governance Findings Report and served as project manager of BoardSource’s Diversity and Next Generation Initiative, a multiyear effort designed to reach and prepare diverse, next generation leaders for board service. 

A graduate of Pepperdine University, Alexis holds a degree in communication and a certificate in nonprofit management. She is currently pursuing an executive certificate in diversity strategy from Georgetown University.
