Workplace Application:
This session will identify the legal pitfalls in attempting to control off-duty conduct and will provide practical solutions to address such conduct and balance the often conflicting laws.
Facebook, blogging, texting and talking while driving, political and social activism, unhealthy behavior, tattoos and body piercings, dating the boss…and much more. Long gone are the days when an employer stops caring what its employees say, write, or do when they leave work at the end of the day. The question is: What can you control? This session will discuss recent developments that may force you to reevaluate your existing dress codes and appearance policies. Beachboard will show you how to draft effective policies on employees’ use of personal tech devices, email, and social media. This session will also address workplace romance and the many pitfalls that such relationships can cause down the road.
