Workplace Application: Learn approaches to define, measure & reward performance, resulting in employees accepting they've been treated fairly, competitively & appropriately.
How effectively an organization defines, measures and rewards performance will have a significant impact on workforce effectiveness. Organizations should create a performance model that defines the measures and standards associated with performance at the organization-wide, group/unit/team and individual levels and that integrates them across all levels. Measuring and rewarding individual employee performance must involve: 1) establishing clear expectations and ensuring employees understand them, 2) continuous measurement and feedback, 3) appraising results and behaviors, 4) rewarding employees appropriately and 5) establishing expectations going forward. The manner in which employees are rewarded must be viewed as equitable, competitive and appropriate and must be acceptable to employees if they are to be motivated to perform well. This workshop will help you understand how to measure performance in both quantitative and qualitative terms, encompassing both results and behaviors and how to administer and evaluate performance management and rewards management systems.
