Workplace Application: You will be better equipped to manage complex leaves that involve disability accommodation and/or workplace injuries and accidents.

Come meet Emily and Edward, two beloved employees who are going to share some of their work/life experiences with us as we delve into navigating leave compliance. Instead of dry text book instruction on these various laws, we'll follow Emily and Edward through their careers and lives and brainstorm together about how to accommodate their never-changing needs. If you want to dive deep into FMLA, ADAAA, and Work Comp, this workshop is for you! This workshop will provide you with a detailed revisit of the basic concepts and important definitions under FMLA, ADAAA, and Worker's Compensation laws. You will learn about the areas where these laws overlap with each other and how to manage concurrent leaves. We will also take a brief look at some of the states where local law can create even greater complexity.  You will leave with the knowledge on how to apply this to real-life situations to see when each law needs to be applied.
