Win/Win: How to Successfully Return Employees to Work and Comply with the ADA
Monday 06/29/2020 07:30 AM - 08:30 AM   Add to calendar
Workplace Application:
ADA compliance is an asset to organizations building inclusive cultures.

As if managing leaves of absence under the ADA weren't difficult enough, EEOC guidance and recent federal cases compel employers to return disabled employees to work with reasonable accommodations under certain circumstances -- even, potentially, into completely different positions. But implementing an ADA-compliant return-to-work process could be this cloud's silver lining, resulting in getting workers back from leave sooner, filling open positions, helping employees improve their medical conditions and improving productivity.

Learning Objectives:

  • Current laws, regulations, and guidance regarding ADA leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations when employees are able to return from leave.
  • Drafting internal policies and processes to deal with employees returning from leave and seeking some form of reasonable accommodation.
  • Discussion of common scenarios.
