Concurrent Session
Don't Change Your Culture, Celebrate It
W219-221
In-Person Friday 09/10/2021 04:00 PM - 05:00 PM   Add to calendar
Competencies: Interpersonal (Behavioral), Leadership (Behavioral)
Workplace Application:
Attendees will gain a clear understanding of an organization's culture, resulting in improved decision-making & integration into people's practices, even when working from home.

Culture change efforts have often failed more than they have been successful. Despite well-thought-out management change plans, employees resist a culture change. Understanding why is essential to understanding what to do to about it. As each new leader steps into the role and implements strategy and culture change, employees become confused about the right thing to do. Often the solution is examining what made the company successful in the first place and going back to the original roots of the culture. Celebrate the culture as a foundation for the strategy change.

This session will cover how you can teach new employees your culture, the decision-making process, and your organizational definition of right from wrong.

Learning Objectives:

•  How to create a shared understanding of company culture.
•  Why you need to align strategy to the culture and not the other way around.
•  How to discover the authentic culture of your organization.
•  The impact of a strong culture on the Employee Experience.
