Regardless of service branch or military occupation the mantra of the military community is “Mission First, People Always.” This ethos, coupled with a spirit of continual learning, and personal growth is not just good military leadership it’s the foundation for good HR! Pathways for veterans to serve within HR careers not only serves the veteran population it serves our workforce and the organizations they represent by fostering the next generation of HR leaders. 

In this session you’ll learn how a combination of SHRM Certification, membership services, educational resources, and micro-credentialing serve current HR professionals within the military community while also fostering pathways to HR for those veterans and military spouses who come from a non-traditional HR background.  And, given the direct impact HR professionals have within the over-arching veteran employment initiative these well-trained members of the military community who serve in HR have an exponential impact within the organization’s entire veteran hiring effort.
