Sessions
This is a comprehensive overview of how to take a data-centric approach to DE&I, including a review of impactful KPIs, data collection best practices, and storytelling through metrics. The session will explain how to incorporate financial and strategic arguments to obtain buy-in. It will also cover how to incorporate stakeholder and change management concepts to make the case for changes and ensure accountability.
Learning Objectives:
- Explain why a data-forward undergirding to their DE&I strategy is essential, including what people analytics is and how it is distinct from "business as usual" (BAU) organizational metrics.
- Apply arguments steeped in financial concepts, business logic, and talent management best practices regarding why DE&I requires sufficient resources, IT support, and executive sponsorship to achieve company-wide goals.
- Distinguish and categorize various types of KPIs for DE&I, including where to source the data, how to calculate the metrics, and how specific metrics can support larger human capital objectives.
- Evaluate and then contrast their current (or planned) DE&I strategy against the framework presented to revise appropriately and recommend the next steps.
- Design and develop a people analytics-imbued DE&I strategy that will convince senior-level stakeholders of the link between a well-constructed DE&I foundation and positive financial performance.
