Sessions
Is your “Inner Critic” holding you back in the workplace? Do you seek and utilize reflective and in-the-moment self-knowledge? Do you recognize the value you bring? One of the foundational hurdles that leaders must overcome is the Inner Critic, which is the critical voice in our head that informs how we feel and how we act. The Inner Critic causes us to go “one down” — when we feel we are inadequate or not enough — or “one up” — when we feel we are better than those around us.
This session walks us through how leaders can choose moment by moment to manage their Inner Critic and instead lead from their compassionate center. For women, managing one’s Inner Critic is paramount to addressing the other related hurdles — it’s key to professional growth. By focusing on the inner game of leadership (self-awareness, courage, and commitment), we can fundamentally change the way we show up each day, how we scale the hurdles to advancement, and how we lead with purpose.
This session aligns with the Aware AWL Competency and the Become Purposeful Leadership Commitment.
