Sessions
In this second session on strategies for publicly perpetuating gender equity, the facilitators will do a deep dive into the challenge of real-time disruption of bias, sexism, and even harassment. Topics include recognizing what prevents some men from seeing bias, bystander paralysis and how it explains why some of us may not act in the moment, strategies to counteract roadblocks to taking action against biased, harassing, or sexist language and behavior, analyzing scenarios to practice noticing and disrupting bias in workplace settings, and identifying best strategies for equitable distribution of “office housework.” This session requires some courage, active disruption practice, and conversations about what lands well and what does not.
