The 401(k) as a Lifetime Financial Instrument
S402
Tuesday 06/18/2013 07:00 AM - 08:15 AM
1.25 HR Credit
| Competencies: Consultation
| Intended Audience: Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
The session shows how modest plan design changes and a marketing focus shift will improve the plan and financial preparation for all life stages.
Many feel the 401(k) is an ineffective retirement plan and argue that vehicles that require the discipline to invest diligently over an entire working career are ill suited for most Americans. Rather than throw in the towel, it is time to shift the paradigm with a refreshed marketing focus, and plan design review that moves away from typical retirement centered education. You will learn about effective plan changes to illustrate the 401(k) as an effective lifetime financial planning tool as well as the marketing techniques to increase employee awareness and participation in the 401(k).
