1.25 SHRM PDCs, 1.25 Business Credit | Competencies: Relationship Management, HR Expertise | Intended Audience: Mid-Level
Workplace Application:
You will learn about both the challenges and opportunities Federal sector HR faces when addressing employee engagement issues.

Employee Engagement is important to HR professionals in all sectors (private, public, corporate, multinational and even the Federal sector). This session will give an overview of how HR in the Federal space defines employee engagement, how it’s measured (frequency, etc.) and what is done with it. [Spoiler alert: it may be closer to the private sector than you think!]. You will learn:

  • How employee engagement is determined in the Federal sector.
  • Metrics you can use to measure (and positively impact) engagement issues for your agency/organization.
  • How to use tools and methods to better understand the root causes of employee engagement.
  • Lessons from the private sector that you can apply within your agency/organization.
