You will learn best practices for effective leave and disability management based on recent OFCCP and EEOC enforcement activities.
With recent statutory and regulatory changes, employers are facing greater scrutiny of the impact their employment practices have on individuals with disabilities. Using case scenarios, you will learn whether your employment practices are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This session will leave you with a better understanding of:
- How to conduct a mental and physical job qualifications review.
- How to evaluate personnel processes, including online systems.
- How to manage performance of an IWD.
- Processing accommodation requests using an integrated disability management approach.
- When and how to request medical documentation.
