1.25 SHRM PDCs, 1.25 HR Credit | Competencies: Consultation, Critical Evaluation | Intended Audience: Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
This session will provide with a thorough analysis of data collected since the April 2015 NLRB ruling to revamp the election process.

The landmark ruling for quick union elections went into effect April 14, 2015. One year later the data is in and there are lessons to be learned. Organizations who prepared were much better suited to face and defeat the union drives but readiness wasn't the only defining factor in averting union representation. Ongoing sound positive employee relations practices were also critical in maintaining a union-free environment. This session will provide you with:

  • Data since the new election process was instituted throughout the U.S.
  • Clear and practical suggestions on effective readiness plans when a union targets your organization.
  • Creative ideas on sound employee relations practices that maintain the union-free environment.
