This session will offer a step-by-step guide to best practices in preparing and managing employment contracts around the world. 

This session is designed for U.S.-based HR professionals who are responsible for management of employment relationships outside the U.S. Topics related to compensation, benefits, paid time off, statutory obligations, notice pay, separation pay, job descriptions, working conditions, trade secrets and noncompetition, and other key components to an employment agreement will be covered. Various jurisdictions will be referenced, including China, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Germany,  United Kingdom, UAE among others. This session will:

  • Review and highlight the basic concepts and key components related to drafting compliant international employment contracts.
  • Highlighs common errors and mistakes in drafting that easily can be avoided.
  • Use examples from multiple international jurisdictions to highlight special considerations, unique compliance issues and provide an illustration of practical aspects of the points made throughout the session.
