Learn what labor and employment policy changes that employers have seen and may see from the U.S. Department of Labor over the next four years.

Alexander Acosta was sworn in as Secretary of Labor on April 28th, one of the last members of President Trump’s cabinet to be confirmed. As of yet, little is known about his positions on key policy issues. Many employers are expecting relief from the 2016 overtime regulations, the fiduciary rule, government contracting executive orders, the independent contracting and joint employment administrator’s interpretations and other issues.  In this session, Former DOL Wage and Hour Administrator Tammy McCutchen will provide updates on the DOL policy changes to date and what policy changes may be on the horizon, with a focus on the DOL’s wage and hour division. You will learn:

  • What policy changes has the DOL made under the new administration.
  • What policy changes may be on the horizon at the DOL.
  • The future of the FLSA and what it means for your business.
