Previously, Angela was a USDOL, Office of Apprenticeship, recognized Apprenticeship Training Representative (ATR), and State Apprenticeship Agency (SAA), Registered Apprenticeship Program Coordinator with the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Angela managed and oversaw Statewide Registered Apprenticeship Programs in multiple industries.  Her oversight significantly led to the expansion of Registered Apprenticeship programs within the state.

Angela received her Master's degree in Public Administration from Kentucky State University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky.  In addition, Angela is certified in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Angela is a two-time commissioned Kentucky Colonel, the highest title of honor bestowed by the sitting Governor of Kentucky in recognition of outstanding service to the community, state, and nation.

Dorea Mays is a life-long human resources practitioner with more than 30 years of professional experience serving in the hospitality, security, non-profit and retail industries. She is the Director of Human Resources at Rosen Hotels & Resorts, a seven-property hotel company with over 4,000 employees in Central Florida, as well as subsidiary business units including a medical center, technology company and insurance company, two preschools and a family fitness and aquatic center. In her current role, she oversees all human resource functions for a large team and leads the organization’s human resource strategy. She is an HR subject matter expert with a proven track record in employee relations, organizational development, compliance, transformational coaching and leadership development.

Prior to Rosen Hotels & Resorts, Dorea’s career included human resource roles in industries such as retail, car rental, security and non-profit. Known as a natural-born leader, Dorea is the current Vice President of the Hotel Human Resources Association of Orlando. She is an active member of the Greater Orlando Society for Human Resources Management. Dorea’s passion for community service has led to her current involvement in non-profit boards to include the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Orlando, Orange County Public Schools Compact, the Central Florida Disability Chamber, and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.

Dorea is a proud alumna of the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Organizational Communication. Ms. Bongi is the Senior Specialist, Exchange Visitor Program, working with SHRM’s intern and trainee program participants and sponsor organizations.  Ms. Bongi comes to SHRM with years of experience assisting young professionals and host companies in the J-1 intern and trainee visa sponsorship process.  She has been involved with the Exchange Visitor program since 2012 and in her free time, counsels and monitors J-1 high school exchange students and host families as a Local Coordinator.  In addition to her work in international exchange, Ms. Bongi previously has also created a Department of Labor registered culinary apprenticeship program and has experience teaching Talent Management Training and Train the Trainer courses.  Her background is in financial reporting and accounting and she spent the early part of her career working for companies such as JPMorgan and America Online.  Ms. Bongi earned her MS in School Counseling from Long Island University and her BS in Finance from Pennsylvania State University.

Chandra has over 15 years of leadership experience in a variety of fields to include healthcare, education, and social services. She has a Bachelors in Biochemistry with a Master of Education in Curriculum Design and Assessments. Her true passion is helping grow and develop leaders based on a servant leadership model. Chandra has been a participant in the SHRM pilot program for employers to develop strategies for increasing the use of skilled credentials in upskilling.
