Stretch & Connect to Engage Untapped Talent Forces
Tuesday 04/21/2020 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM   Add to calendar

Join the SHRM Foundation to discuss best practices to engage with talent forces that are often overlooked and under supported, including: individuals with disabilities, workers with a criminal background and members of our military community such as veterans, military spouses and caregivers. These are some of the questions we’ll explore together (we hope you will bring your questions too!):

  • What is your biggest talent acquisition challenge, and how are you using untapped talent forces - such as individuals with disabilities, workers with a criminal background and veterans - to overcome it?
    • Research from SHRM and Workplace Initiative revealed only 13% of workplaces have disability-specific inclusion initiatives. What advice do you have for organizations seeking to hire and support individuals with disabilities?
    • How can hiring individuals with a criminal background help your organization?
    • What’s the best way for a company to proactively brand itself as an employer that recognizes the value of hiring and supporting untapped talent forces?
    • What tools and resources do you recommend for starting or strengthening a diversity hiring program?
