Ms. Bongi is the Senior Specialist, Exchange Visitor Program, working with SHRM’s intern and trainee program participants and sponsor organizations.  Ms. Bongi comes to SHRM with years of experience assisting young professionals and host companies in the J-1 intern and trainee visa sponsorship process.  She has been involved with the Exchange Visitor program since 2012 and in her free time, counsels and monitors J-1 high school exchange students and host families as a Local Coordinator.  In addition to her work in international exchange, Ms. Bongi previously has also created a Department of Labor registered culinary apprenticeship program and has experience teaching Talent Management Training and Train the Trainer courses.  Her background is in financial reporting and accounting and she spent the early part of her career working for companies such as JPMorgan and America Online.  Ms. Bongi earned her MS in School Counseling from Long Island University and her BS in Finance from Pennsylvania State University.

Ms. Jerrika Anderson Edwards is SHRM’s Exchange Visitor Program Senior Coordinator and ARO. Jerrika came to SHRM with more than five years of experience in international education and professional exchanges. After receiving her Bachelor's degree from Scripps College, Jerrika lived in Senegal, South Korea, and China. Jerrika's professional experience includes working as an English language teacher, working with the J-1 intern and trainee program, and most recently working with J-1 and F-1 students. Jerrika completed a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership and Learning from The George Washington University in 2022. She is excited to apply her skills and experience to the SHRM team.

Bethany Adams has more than 15 years of experience in HR and education.  She began her career working in learning & development and human resources in the restaurant and retail industries. She has experience in both small, privately-owned businesses and large, Fortune 500 organizations. Bethany holds a BA in Psychology, MA in Organizational Management, the SHRM-SCP certification, and is a Certified Genos International Emotional Intelligence Practitioner. She currently teaches at Villanova University in the Graduate Programs in HR Development.  Bethany has spoken at a variety of conferences throughout the country and leads corporate training on topics including emotional intelligence, DEI, and strategic HR.  Bethany hosts an HR podcast called HR Tea.

In addition to his career at Google, Greg is also an entrepreneur, having co-founded successful businesses in restaurants and apparel, and father of 3 young children in San Francisco.

Clayton Lord (Clay, he/him) oversees strategy, planning, program delivery, and program evaluation for the SHRM Foundation, the 501(c)3 nonprofit arm of SHRM, which focuses on widening pathways to work and helping every worker and workplace thrive by empowering HR leaders to be forces for social good. He is a social impact executive who has spent his career driving systemic change in the world of work. Chandra Cody is the Human Resource Director for Volunteers of America Northern Rockies an organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.  Volunteers of America Northern Rockies serves individuals across the state of Wyoming, Montana and Western South Dakota with a staff of over 400 dedicated to the mission.  In her seven years with the organization, she has been an integral champion of developing a company culture from the ground up.  Her efforts lead to her receiving an Outstanding Leadership Award.

Chandra has over 15 years of leadership experience in a variety of fields to include healthcare, education, and social services. She has a Bachelors in Biochemistry with a Master of Education in Curriculum Design and Assessments. Her true passion is helping grow and develop leaders based on a servant leadership model. Chandra has been a participant in the SHRM pilot program for employers to develop strategies for increasing the use of skilled credentials in upskilling. As an educator this project is a passion for her to help front line staff identify alternative options for gaining the skills they need to advance in their careers in different programs throughout the organization.

Pedro Moya is an Industry Director in Google’s Marketing Services organization, where he is responsible for driving the digital media strategy for some of its largest, most advanced advertising partners. Before this, he led a team supporting Google’s Accelerator Program, working with Google’s largest SMB partners to accelerate their digital transformation efforts.  Pedro started his career at Google as a Sales Leader in the Business and Industrial Markets Vertical, and was responsible for working with Fortune 500 B2B brands on developing their digital marketing capabilities and strategy.  

Before joining Google, Pedro served as Director of the Electrical Industry Group at NSK Ltd., a worldwide manufacturer of motion control devices, where he led a global sales and marketing team focused on growing the Consumer Products business in North America.  Pedro started his career as an Engineer Officer in the U.S. Army, leading teams in support of the military’s worldwide operations.

Pedro is a member of Latinx and Veterans Employee Resource groups, and was also a member of the Google Sales Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan.
