Scott Cheney is Credential Engine’s first CEO where he leads the organization’s efforts to reveal the marketplace of credentials. Prior to Credential Engine, he served as the Policy Director for Senator Murray and the Senate HELP Committee. He led reauthorization of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and Perkins CTE, and to expand registered apprenticeships. Previously Scott managed his own consulting firm, and held positions with the National Alliance of Business, the American Society for Training and Development, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Scott holds a BA in Philosophy from Carleton College, and a Masters from Georgetown University. His first paycheck in this career path came from Dr. Seuss.

This includes spearheading primary research on the Psychological Benefit Framework, an innovative approach to improving employee engagement and retention by applying proven principles of social psychology.

Marcus White, ABD, M.Ed. is a distinguished educator, researcher, author and curriculum designer. With deep experience in nurturing institutional learning agility by delivering impactful learning experiences that promote deep and long-lasting understanding, Marcus’ career has been rooted in creating equitable learning environments that magnify social cognition and yield knowledgeable leaders. Marcus is currently pursuing his PhD in Education and will be defending his dissertation on the correlation of employee job satisfaction and organizational success in the Spring of 2022. He serves as an Equity Council co-chair, curriculum coordinator and educator for the school district with which he works.
