Kristin Jemison, PMP is a biopharmaceutical leader with a progressive 20-year career that includes delivering multimillion-dollar results by driving enterprise-level strategy, initiatives, and operations. Through her career she has held positions of increasing responsibility in Operations, Project Management, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology and Integrated Product Strategy. She currently leads the Veterans Community Network People & Business Resource Group for Bristol Myers Squibb, a global biopharmaceutical company, and has helped them increased veteran workforce representation by spearheading diversity initiatives.
As part of leading the Veterans Community Network, Kristin has worked hard to build, develop, and manage a robust leadership team with a sharp focus on member engagement and diversity hiring. She has liaised with congressional leaders to shape policies on veteran employment and military spouse underemployment. Kristin recently presented at The White House to The Second Lady’s Office and industry peers on solutions for improving military family benefits. She resides in Langhorne, Pennsylvania with her husband Michael and their two children.

George Floyd was killed on May 25, 2020 in Minneapolis, MI. Survived by his family, George Floyd was the oldest of five siblings. Philonise and Rodney Floyd, George’s brothers, have publicly spoken out about George’s senseless murder, seeking racial justice in his name. Following public outrage over George’s death, Philonise and Rodney delivered powerful remarks during recent events like the 2020 Democratic National Convention and the March on Washington this summer. Philonise even testified before U.S. Congress in June of this year during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on policing practices and law enforcement accountability.

Dr. Eden King is the Lynette S. Autrey Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Rice University. She is pursuing a program of research that aims to make work better for everyone. This research– which has yielded over 100 scholarly products and has been featured in outlets such as the New York Times, Good Morning America, and Harvard Business Review– addresses three primary themes: 1) current manifestations of discrimination and barriers to work-life balance in organizations, 2) consequences of such challenges for its targets and their workplaces, and 3) individual and organizational strategies for reducing discrimination and increasing support for families.
In addition to her scholarship, Dr. King has partnered with organizations to improve diversity climate, increase fairness in selection systems, and to design and implement diversity training programs. She is currently a Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Management, an Associate Editor for the Journal of Business and Psychology, and the 2019-2020 President of the Society for I-O Psychology.

As vice president of Military Affairs at Microsoft, Chris Cortez leads the company’s engagement with veterans and military families as part of its focus on inspiring and developing former service members for roles in the IT industry. Chris’ responsibilities touch STEM education, veteran community engagement, high-tech training and employment of veterans. His team’s mission is to lead and challenge the technology industry to fill the IT pipeline with former service members. Chris is an advocate for Microsoft employees who have served in the military and is executive sponsor of the Military Veterans at Microsoft Employee Resource Group. Retired Major General Cortez served for more than 33 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and has worked at Microsoft since 2006.
