Mrs. Peters has worked with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) since October 2018. She previously worked for SHRM’s former affiliate the Council for Global Immigration (CFGI) in the Washington DC metro-area for nearly fifteen years, helping to advance high skilled immigration and employment verification reforms with the U.S. Congress, the White House and the federal agencies. She has served as a chair of the policy committee of the Compete America coalition. She also serves on other coalitions and working groups to educate and advance immigration system efficiencies and to ensure critical changes to employer immigration compliance are reasonable.

Theodore Wold is a Special Assistant to the President for Policy in the Office of American Innovation.  He holds a B.A. from Georgetown University, where he studied government and English, an M. Litt. from the University of St. Andrews, where he studied English literature, and J.D. from the University of Notre Dame. Wold clerked at the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit for Judge Janice Rogers Brown and the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico for Judge Jose Antonio Fuste. He has also lectured at the Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala.

Lynden Melmed is a partner with Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP and oversees the firm’s compliance and government affairs practices. Lynden also served as Special Counsel to Senator John Cornyn, who was Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Citizenship; in that role, Lynden played a leading role in drafting and managing comprehensive immigration legislation.

He previously served on the White House American Workforce Policy Advisory Board and as chairman of the President's Advisory Board on Historically Black Colleges and Universities during the Trump Administration.

Jonathan Berry serves as the Acting Assistant Secretary for Policy at the U.S. Department of Labor, and was appointed Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy in April 2018. In that role, Berry is responsible for the policy direction and operations of the agency as he works with other agency leaders to deliver on the Department's policy priorities and regulatory agenda.

Berry previously served in the Office of Legal Policy at the U.S. Department of Justice. At DOJ, in addition to judicial nominations, Berry assisted with the work of the DOJ Regulatory Reform Task Force, including in the development of department-wide policies to harmonize DOJ's regulatory work with the rule of law. Prior to his service in the Federal government, Berry worked as a regulatory and appellate litigator at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Jones Day. Berry also served as a law clerk to Judge Jerry Smith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and to Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. of the Supreme Court of the United States.

Berry has a Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) in Philosophy from Yale University and has a Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and won the E.B. Convers Prize for best original legal writing
