As vice president of human resources, David Almeda is responsible for overseeing the global human resources function at Kronos.  He serves as a strategic business partner to Kronos’ senior leadership team and drives the human capital management strategy, programs, and initiatives to support Kronos’ continued growth and profitability. Prior to his work at Kronos, Almeda spent 16 years in various human resources functions at Staples, most recently as vice president of global human resources.

Almeda holds a master’s degree in HR management, and a doctoral degree from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School/Graduate School of Education. He is an active member of SHRM; serves on the Board of Directors of the New England Human Resources Association; and is an advisory board member of the Executive Program in Work-based Learning Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania/Wharton. He is a sought-after speaker and expert on HR issues, and has presented at or been published by The Conference Board, Harvard Business School, and CMO Magazine.

Kristen Brown is vice president of Global Talent Acquisition for Kronos Incorporated, the global leader in delivering workforce management solutions in the cloud.  Kronos has over 5,000 employees worldwide and does business in more than 100 countries. Brown is responsible for leading Kronos’ global efforts to attract and hire the best talent in the technology industry. In her time at Kronos, she has led strategic recruitment efforts to support the company’s growth to over $1 billion in annual revenue.

Before joining Kronos in 2011, Brown served as the director of talent acquisition for ULTA Beauty during a significant growth period for the company. Brown’s team successfully supported the 150%+ increase in ULTA’s retail store base during her tenure.  Prior to ULTA, she led recruitment efforts for Staples U.S. Retail organization, which also experienced significant growth at that time.

Brown holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from the School of Management at Simmons College.
