While sleep deprivation and disorders have been proven to have a negative impact on worker health, safety and performance, these issues are often managed reactively due to catastrophic injury, errors and poor performance. Solutions such as best practice shift scheduling, modifying workplace environmental factors and creating a sleep awareness campaign will be discussed. This session will help you: 

  • Appreciate the impact of sleep deprivation/disorders on the body and subsequent worker performance. 
  • Gain an understanding of modifiable workplace factors impacting sleep.
  • Explore potential solutions and strategies to proactively manage workforce sleep disorders/deprivation in the workplace.
