In this engaging presentation, participants will explore what Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace is and isn't and debunk common misconceptions. Like, no, DEI is not about reverse discrimination - everyone wins in Inclusive, Equitable environments! Gaining a better understanding of how DEI benefits the entire organization, participants will better understand their role in their organization's I&D strategy and how they play a critical part in creating an inclusive and equitable workplace for all.

1. Explore what DEI in the workplace is and isn't.

2. Gain a better understanding of how DEI benefits the entire organization not only marginalized employees.

3. Better understand your role in the organization's DEI strategy.

Shalynne Jackson is the CEO and Principal Strategist of Sonder Strategies, a DEI consulting firm. She brings extensive experience in implementing DEI strategies across industries, including Fortune 500 companies and public safety agencies. Shalynne serves as Membership Chair for SHRM’s Oklahoma Human Resources State Council (OKHR) and on various boards and committees. She has been recognized as a Notable DEI Leader and is a 2024 40 Under 40 award recipient. Shalynne holds a Master of Human Relations degree from The University of Oklahoma, where she is an adjunct professor. She is also a qualified administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory.
