Howard A. Wallack has been the Deputy Chief Human Resources & Administrative Officer since 2016 in the Global Human Resources (GHR) department at Jhpiego in Baltimore, MD, an international, non-profit health organization, affiliated with Johns Hopkins University. Jhpiego is dedicated to improving the health of women, children, and families in lower-resourced countries, with approximately 4,200 employees worldwide in 38 countries. At Jhpiego, Howard spearheads the organization’s leadership development program and leads a team of 5 regional HR business partners who support country HR operations, himself currently backstopping Ghana, Guatemala, and Mozambique. During his 40-year career with experience in nearly 90 countries, Howard has had senior-level positions in HR, training and development, global business development, and program management in for-profit and non-profit businesses and the US Peace Corps. In April 2023 Howard was recognized with an OnCon Icon peer-voted award among the “Top 50 HR Professionals” for having made a considerable impact on their organization and/or previous organizations; made strong contributions to their community through thought leadership; innovated in their role/career; and exhibited exceptional leadership. He has advanced degrees in international affairs and international human resources and globalization and holds multiple professional certifications, including the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and the GPHR® & SPHRi™ qualification from the HR Certification Institute. As a volunteer he has served on the Board of Directors of Cultural Vistas since 2011.

Mr. Storch supports the Council for Global Immigration’s Government Affairs team as Manager of Agency Liaison, responsible for working with federal immigration agencies to ensure employment-based immigration policies enable U.S. employers to build America’s future workforce, grow the economy and create U.S. jobs. Prior to joining the Council, Mr. Storch worked as an immigration paralegal at both Trow & Rahal, PC and Freilicher & Hoffman, PC. Mr. Storch has also spent time serving in the offices of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley and U.S. Representative Jerry Costello (D-IL). Mr. Storch received his JD from American University, where he worked as a student attorney in the university’s Immigrant Justice Clinic. Mr. Storch also holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Wisconsin and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Mrs. Peters has worked with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) since October 2018. She previously worked for SHRM’s former affiliate the Council for Global Immigration (CFGI) in the Washington DC metro-area for nearly fifteen years, helping to advance high skilled immigration and employment verification reforms with the U.S. Congress, the White House and the federal agencies. She has served as a chair of the policy committee of the Compete America coalition. She also serves on other coalitions and working groups to educate and advance immigration system efficiencies and to ensure critical changes to employer immigration compliance are reasonable.

William D. Wight is a partner in the Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. offices and is the chair of the firm's International Employment Practice Group.  He counsels employers on various global employment, compensation and benefit issues related to employees abroad, as well as foreign nationals working in the U.S. and the employment of the U.S. permanent residents and citizens abroad.  Bill has worked with compliance issues related to hiring, retention and separation of employees in a multitude of jurisdictions.  His experience with global employment issues has helped him assist our clients with international operations on all sevel continents including Antarctica.  Bill has assisted clients with the implementation of strategic planning and policy development with respect to global HR practices and policies.  He has also assisted clients with the management of litigation and employment controversy matters in numerous international jurisdictions.  Bill has also counseled clients based outside the United States with the special considerations that are required when complying with U.S. employment and employee benefit rules and regulations. Bill is regularly involved with resolving questions related to privacy and data protection issues.

Scott Derthick is the Chief People and Culture Officer at Peckham, Inc. He has been with Peckham for 19 years and earned a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Michigan State University and a master’s of Horticulture and Packaging.

Derthick serves as a board member for the Human Service Association Workers Compensation Fund and Origami Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center.

His HR philosophy is to become an ambassador or steward of the culture, guiding staff to keep the mission top of mind in all they do. Derthick also provides leadership in the areas of Wellness, Safety, Opportunity for Improvement, Asset Building, Peckham University and Sustainability efforts at Peckham.

His diligence and commitment to the Peckham culture has helped keep staff and leadership grounded in the mission as we continue to grow as an organization. Justin Walworth is the Assistant Director of Human Resources at Peckham Inc., a nonprofit vocational rehabilitation organization that provides job training for persons with significant disabilities and other barriers to employment. He began his career at Peckham Inc. as the Wellness & Safety Czar 12 years ago. After eight years of trying to convince people that Czar was his real title, he transitioned to a Generalist and then a Manager role. During Justin’s tenure at Peckham Inc. he has earned a Master’s Degree in HR, helped promote a positive culture and win multiple awards including the Great Place to Work® 50 Best Small and Medium Workplaces in 2015, When Work Works (previously Sloan Award for Workplace flexibility) for eight consecutive years, and Best and Brightest Elite Winner for three consecutive years just to name a few.  While Justin loves to share his sub four hour marathon experiences, he is even more proud of the organizational culture and leadership values he gets to experience and create at Peckham Inc. Keith Epstein (SPHR, GPHR, and SHRM-SCP) is a Legal Investigator in the Employment, Labor, and Benefits Legal Group at Intel Corporation.  He has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development and has worked for Intel for 20 years including training, organizational development, human resources generalist, and for the last 10 years, as an investigator for human resources-related charges and lawsuits.  Mr. Epstein is involved in global labor relations particularly in Asia and in setting Intel’s global employment guidelines.  Keith is also considered one of Intel’s subject matter experts on gender transition matters.

Susie has been living and working in senior organizational development and HR roles in Beijing, China since the Spring of 1981, and was instrumental in the start-up of the UK firm, Rolls-Royce International operations in China, where she held senior roles from 1981 thru to the late 90s. 

Susie has held senior HR roles in China within Xin De Telecom, a Siemens/CITIC finance leasing joint venture, and, up until the summer of 2011,  was the Vice-President for Human Resources & Recruitment for the United Family Healthcare group, with overall responsibility for the recruitment of healthcare providers, nursing staff and healthcare professionals for the group’s China-wide operations. 

Susie joined the Interpublic Marketing Services group in Beijing, China in April 2013, where she holds the position of Director of Human Resources & Talent with China-wide responsibility providing HR leadership to the group’s six agencies in China, including Weber Shandwick, Jack Morton, Golin Harris, Octagon, DeVries PR and FutureBrand.  

Susie is a firm believer in developing home-grown talent within an organization, and lists amongst her values, Passion, Integrity, Commitment and life-time growth; she plays  an active role in the HR Forums of both the European and British Chambers of Commerce,  is a long standing member of the US Society of Human Resource Management, the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, and the UK Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, and is a frequently invited speaker at both Chinese domestic and international Human Resources and Organizational Development events.

Cheryl Mohr, is Head of HR Global Operations & Global Functions HR. In this role she has responsibility for the delivery of HR programs and services, Workforce Planning, HR Systems, Labor & Compliance and MADO. In addition, Cheryl leads HR for Global Functions which includes Finance, Legal, Marketing and HR. She is responsible for Business HR support, for both Global Functions and our Go-to-Market organization. Cheryl is a member of HP’s Human Resources Leadership Team reporting to Tracy Keogh.

Cheryl has had responsibility for leading a number of major initiatives for HP which included the separation of the HR function as part of the company split and was responsible for leading the HR PMO for HP’s Make It Better initiative.

Cheryl has been with HP for over 33 years, and during this time has served in a number of key HR leadership roles. Cheryl’s prior roles include Sr Vice President for Global Functions; Vice President of Global Labor Relations and HR Compliance, where she was responsible for creating the Labor Relations Function, delivering HP’s labor relations strategy, managing HR Compliance as well as HP’s Contingent Workforce program. Prior to that role, Cheryl was the Vice President of HR for the Americas Region, providing HR leadership to ensure the world class delivery of HR programs and services for the U.S., Latin America and Canada.

Cheryl began her career at Hewlett Packard in 1991, when HP acquired Avantek. Since joining HP, Cheryl has held regional and worldwide HR positions, including HR Manager for Global Support Logistics, HR Manager for the Hardware Services Organization and HR Manager HP Services North America.

Cheryl has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University.
